live it up!

Today in sociology we watched a film, "Daughters of Afganistan" It talked about women's rights there and what some people were trying to do about it. It was so sad seeing women treated like that. No food, no water, homeless, being treated like dirt by men just because of their sex. The women there can't say no to sex. I cant imagine how awful that must be, to have 9 or more children. Why would men do that to them? Do they actually think it's a good idea to have so many kids? Of course not they are only doing it for their sick pleasure. It's disgusting. If I was ever treated like that I wouldn't know what to do. Things there now are a little better, but they still have a long way to go before the women and men have equal rights. In the video men said mean things to women as they walked down the streets. Men there think they are so high above women, they think they can do whatever they want. And aparently they are getting away with a lot still. We have a long way to go in this world. I don't think it'll ever be perfect, but it could be a whole lot better than it is now, everywhere.
